This stand came flat packaged with a minimal amount of assembly. The legs have a clear finish that will repel water, it would have been nice if the masonite support piece would have had the same.

Some additions I would have liked.

1. Feet levelers. For placement on a tile floor, this would have eliminated any rocking (which makes one uneasy when there is a full 5 gallon bottle on top)

2. Holes pre-drilled for assembly. There is a long screw that connects the 2 halves together. Because it is solid wood, I was fearful of cracking the piece, so I predilled the hole myself.

3. A small bottle of glue (or instructions to glue) the dowels into the legs of the assembly. This would make the stand a lot more stable to eliminate any rocking on the legs. I glued mine and it is rock solid now.

Otherwise, a great stand for the price.

We bought these two great crocks to store our spring water in, but they were taking up too much counter space. This stand tucks neatly away in the corner of our kitchen and gives us back the space on the counter. A tiny bit wiggly (at the joint of the crossbars), but definitely not fragile. Kids have bumped into it, rolled large items against it, and no problems. Just what we needed!
