Keeps the ice frozen all day even sitting in the sun, but does leak. When you try to drink out of it you have to lean forward to not spill it on you. I would reccomend the 1 gallon Coleman cooler, keeps ice frozen longer and doesn't leak.
We use this for our dogs - we are involved in performance sports (Rally, Obedience ; Agility) as well as conformation. It's great because we can fill it in the morning and it keeps the water cool and available for all our dogs all day long. We take it to practices as well as events.
